Dreamer ^List^
(Mae McKenna, Kathy Manuel)

From the pyramids of Egypt
I fly through the sky
To the hanging gardens of Babylon
Reflected in my eye

Beyond the highest mountains
And deep within the sea
Through endless shadows of the night
A spirit calls to me

I meet with ancient strangers
And speak without a word
Of wisdom lost before our time
And music never heard

Mirage or Reality

I penetrate the secrets
Of mysteries unseen
Begin to understand my past
And lose what might have been

Carried on the winds of change
I touch hidden thought
Take it down inside of me
Where false and true are fought

Mirage or Reality

The Chosen One ^List^
(Mae McKenna, John O'Kane)

You're out of touch and you can't hear me
Everybody needs someone
You're far away and still you're near me
Always be the chosen one

All the tears I saved for your eyes
All the years under the sun
Listen and your heart will hear me
Everybody needs someone

Oh winter's here and wars are raging
Light a candle little one
Cos love is the only war worth waging
Everybody needs someone

Friends I've watched them disappearing
Gone their own way every one
Time is the only foe worth fearing
Lines across the chosen one
Lines across the chosen one

Call to me accross the ocean
Write your name accross the sky
Fill me up like a new emotion
Take me travelling in your eyes

Now I know you're out there somewhere
Taking more than you can give
Once I put my life in your hands
Found I'd lost the will to live

Someone else is waiting for you
Tell me who else knows your name
You took all the years of trying
You turned all the pride to shame

Now I'm living in the real world
I don't know who I've become
I used to wake up touching your heart
Light a candle little one
A candle for the chosen one

Dream Lover ^List^
(Mae McKenna, Jackie Challenor)

Last night I dreamed of you my love
I dreamed you came to me
I felt your breath upon my face
You came to set me free
I cry out loud
I call your name
What kind of web is this I weave
I dream of you again

Your voice I hear so clearly now
Compelling me to rise
My love you seem so strange to me
I dare not meet your eyes
Be not afraid and show no fear
No harm will come to you he said
For I will hold you near

He took me and then lifted me
I begged that I might stay
The moon and stars they guided him
He bore me far away
Oh where am I
What spell is this
He took no heed and paid no mind
And I could not resist

My love I bring this gift to you
He took his violin
He played so sweet it broke my heart
And softly he did sing
How soft the word
How sad the song
I wore his gown and took his ring
He smiled and he was gone

Heart To Heart ^List^
(Mae McKenna, Ross McFarlane)

When I try to talk to you, you turn away
There is something wrong with you, but you won't say

Give it to me heart to heart
Tell it to me nice and plain
I can feel all the thoughts you conceal
But you just can't explain
Give it to me heart to heart
Tell it to me nice and slow
I cand see that you're drifting from me
But I just can't let go - of you

When I ask you then you only act surprised
But you're hiding, I can see it in your eyes
So the days go on and on and on
It's been on my mind and I think it's time
for a heart to heart

Give it to me heart to heart ...

When I try to talk to you, you turn away

Changes ^List^
(Mae McKenna, Linda Taylor)

Changing faces
Changing spaces
Lift each stone until I know
Face each fear until it goes

Changing faces
Changing spaces
With each step the veil will fall
Vision breaking down the wall

Travel to the centre of his heart
Find another place and time to start

Why do you lay your hands on me
When I am blind and cannot see
Like a dog without a home
I'm looking for somebody

Changing faces
Changing spaces
Touching with your inspiration

Travel to the centre of this heart
Find another place and time to start

Why do you lay ...

Changing faces
Changing spaces
Lift each stone until I know
Face each fear until it goes

Changing faces
Changing spaces
With each step the veil will fall
Vision breaking down the wall

In The Circles ^List^
(Mae McKenna, Kathy Manuel, William Jackson)

When will you see the face
where can you find the place
Why are you looking out
When everything's within

You speak but are not heard
Who understands a word
How if you start to know
Is all a mystery

Now you can see the game
Something that rings the same
Cannot be solved with blame
But only found in love

We all must come to learn
While In our hearts we burn
Love's not the prize we earn
So seek for it in peace

Let go and lose your mind
Don't you know love is blind
Seek for a different kind
And fit it in your heart

Why do you choose to fear
Love makes things very clear
How can you come so near
But never make the turn

Too Many Promises ^List^
(Hugh McKenna, Ross McFarlane)

Why did it have to come to this
When baby with one kiss
You set my heart on fire
Now we are lonely in the night
And in the early morning light
I think of you and then

There were too many promises
We never should have made
Too many devils to be paid
But like a fool I still think of you
A dream that never fades
And wonder if we'll ever love again

And sometimes I can't get along without you
Get along without your love
And sometimes I can't get along without you
Get along without your love

Why did it have to come to this
When baby with one kiss
You set my heart on fire
Now we are lonely in the night
And in the early morning light
Lost is our desire

There were too many ...

Flamenco ^List^
(Mae McKenna, Hugh McKenna)

Time To Go ^List^
(Mae McKenna, Kathy Manuel)

Across the world doors are opening
The people are walking out
From the East to the West
We are fighting - for our lives

Voices raised in loud objection
To the rules that hold us down
We are one - but individual
They can't change it even if they try

Somewhere across the world in the night
You know we see a light
Somewhere across the world we all know
We know it's time to go

Across the world walls are falling
People passing in and out
Friends and family
Reunited - in their love

Brick by brick the way is clearing now
We all know that we cannot be stopped
Once we have tasted the air of freedom
We're on our way

Somewhere across the world ...

Laoidh Chaluim Chille
St. Columba's Hymn
^List^
(Traditional, arr. William Jackson, Mae McKenna)
The melody of Laoidh Chaluim Chille is a very ancient Gaelic air which local legend attributes to Saint Columba (Chaluim Chille), a 6th century Irish priest credited with bringing Christianity to Scotland.
Columba was a Gaelic prince of royal blood and from accounts of his life emerges as a combination of meek saint and Celtic warrior. He founded a monastic community on the remote Scottish island of Iona, a site considered sacred long before the dawn of Christianity, and it was upon arriving safelyon the shores of Iona after hazardous journey by boat that he supposedly sang "Laoidh Chaluim Chille". Legends around about Columba's miraculous powers, especially over animals, and his life continues to fascinate scholars to this day.
Gaelic Lyrics
Nis sabhailt air tir bheir sinn aoradh dh' an ti
Do athair na glorach ar righ
Bho eire gu alb ar lochran 's ar n' earbs'
Feadh aisridhean gabhaidh a' chuain

Gloir dh'an athair, dhan mhac's dh'an spiorad ro naomh
Fad saoghal nan saoghal, aum

Bean - neach thusa mo thigh a thrionaid ro-mhinn
A mhoire, 'sa mhicheil 'sa bhrighd'
Bho mhullach gu bonn gach sparr agus crann
'san slusgh a ni tuineaghadh ann

Gloir dh'an athair, dhan mhac's dh'an spiorad ro naomh
Fad saoghal nan saoghal, aum

Cuiridh facal do bhaigh ana criosdaidh gu nair
Cas bheart soisgeul nan gras oirnn gach uair;
Sgiath a' chreideimh 'gar dion bho laimh ana miann
Claidheamh spiorad-ail, diadh-aith, ar buaidh

Gloir dh'an athair, dhan mhac's dh'an spiorad ro naomh
Fad saoghal nan saoghal, aum

English Translation
Now safely ashore we give worship and praise
O father of glory to thee
From Eire to Alba our torch and our guide
O, er the perilous path of the sea

refrain
Glory to that Father, Son and Holy Spirit

Bless the house we shall build o trinity great
O Mary and Michael and Bride
Foundation and floor and portal and roof
And the folk who therein will abide

refrain

May the armour of light put the heathen to shame
May our feet with gospel be shod
May the shield of our faith o, er their arrows prevail
And the sword of the spirit of God

refrain
